[In fact, in his eagerness, he opts to.... go right up there. What a loser. He'll wait patiently for her 'cause, hey. Stargazing with Naminé. Alone time with Naminé. What could go wrong?]
[It's only a few moments of wait before a tiny tinkerbell sized Naminé joins him up on the roof, changing to full size as she settles down next to him with a blanket tucked firmly around herself to keep away any cold night's air.]
[She smiles at him softly, her antenna twitching a little as a night's breeze comes rolling by. It would probably be best to work up to what she really wanted to talk about... start things soft and fun.]
Hey. I'm going to need you to keep an eye on Rota's reconstruction for a while. There's other people helping out, I'm sure it'll be fine. Oh, I've also got a couple digs started if you want to get your claws dirty.
Nothing especially serious. I realized if I'm going to try to cross the mountains I need to do it now, before the snows hit. I might get stuck on the other side for a while if winter arrives early, and I don't want you to worry.
You probably could! I'd say yes but I want to practice this berserk control thing on the way and I'd rather not find out afterward that I buried you under a ton of rubble. I'm not too good at it yet.
I'm hoping it'll only be a couple months. I want to be back before weather gets too bad. There has to be other people on the other side of the mountains. Something more than just this place we're stuck in.
See if you can get a good heavy weapon to practice with til I get back. I've seen that it's possible with enough time and work that people can regain what power they'd lost when arriving here. There's no reason to think it might be impossible to gain new power. It'll take a lot of work, but if you'd like, we can see if your keyblade is waiting for you out there somewhere.
Heh. You want to tell them about all this crazy monster stuff? Guess I can't blame you.
Don't know where I'll be able to find a good weapon, but I can try. Or throw something together, I guess. But... well, if you're serious about training me, I'd be down for it.
Sort of. Maybe there's a way out there. Maybe there's other gods besides the Fog and her less than pleasant whims, someone who might help us. It's worth a try! And if not, a warning seems like a good idea.
I'm very serious. You possess the qualities I think would make an exceptional keyblade master. Strength is important to you, but not just so you have it, but so you can protect others. Or at the very least, those most precious to you. I may never have become a master myself, I failed that test. But I think I can put you on the right path. And my best friend Aqua IS a master, she can finish up anything I miss.
That got a bit rambly for a text message! If you can even just find a blacksmith, see about a mace type weapon. It won't be perfect, but it'll get you used to a keyblade's tendency to have most of its weight on the end, unlike a sword.
[A chill, wintery wind visits the Replica, bringing with it a cacophany of harsh whispers. But though her chosen exterior is frigid, the Fog god's voice is even, devoid of any edge or coldness. She is not angry. Not yet.]
You have been with Me for a long time. [Her voice starts at his ear, as though she's right behind him, but moves around to come from in front. She's circling him, and so is the wind.] But your faith is weak. Why do you not pledge yourself further? Have you nothing to ask of Me?
[She's completed her circle, so her low voice is back at his ear.]
[It's unexpected, to say the least, and when the voices reach him, he bristles, eyes darting for any signs of suspicious figures.
He can't see her, and that's the most unsettling part. He searches and searches to no avail...
His snout wrinkles. He wants to retort-- he's not a puppet...
He holds his tongue, if only because he knows better than to offend some higher power in their presence.]
Hmm...
[This might be a good opportunity to see what she can do. Yeah. That's all. It's not like he hasn't been... a little tempted to ask for more. He's tried to keep a distance. He can keep doing that!]
Well, what about the parasites? Or that sun weakness? Can you do anything about those?
[The wind comes to a stop, and for a moment there is silence. Only the distinct feeling of something, hovering directly over his back, remains of her. And finally, when this has gone for an agonizing few seconds, she speaks again.]
I give this to you despite my better judgment, child. Prove to me that you deserve my blessing, and I will give you greater power still.
[The breeze picks up again, and just like that the presence is gone. Only a chattering laughter remains.

Naminé!
[And now he's scooting closer, because on one hand, she has a blanket, but he's kinda a walking space heater, so... Extra warmth. Aw yeah.]

Do you know the names of any of the stars?

Uh... no, unless you count other worlds. Do they still count out here?
[Ryslig's pretty different, so it's a tough call...]

I'll be gone for a while.
<notriku>
